Posted by Milind Naphade on 05/12/2011

Microsoft has released SP2 for Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 today. The service pack is available for download at http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=28190

With release of SP2 a long awaited feature of Address List Segregation will now be available instead of using Exchange in Hosting Mode. A lot of other fixes are included in this release.

Download your copy and Enjoy! 😉

Interesting to note that apparently Microsoft has backtracked, and still strongly recommends we use the /hosting switch instead of address book segregation, check this presentation: http://www.tools4exchange.com/2011/10/galsync-exchange-server-2010-sp2-and-gal-segmentation.html

  2. Yeah John, MS would lose a fair amount of money if they do allow using it. Nevertheless, that feature should work out well for the enterprises working on shared services model. 🙂

  3. Okay, there was some wrong assumptions it seems. Exchange team has confirmed that they will support ABPs for hosters also.
